TH’ DUDES

Th’ Dudes were one of New Zealand’s biggest pop acts of the late 1970s. Formed in 1976 from the group Chillum, the lineup included Dave Dobbyn, Ian Morris, Peter Coleman (later Lez White), and Bruce Hambling. After winning a local Battle of the Bands, they built a strong following and broke through in 1979 with their hit Be Mine Tonight and debut album Right First Time.

BORDERLINE

Borderline is what happens when four best friends grow up making music together and never stop. The rising New Zealand band—Ben Glanfield, Jackson Boswell, Matthew McFadden, and Max Harries—turns that lifelong connection into a sound that’s as expansive as it is intimate.

THE RESPONSE

The Response are a New Zealand indie rock duo blending electronic minimalism with melodic hooks and introspective songwriting. Known for their intricate production and emotionally resonant sound, they write, record, mix, and design everything themselves. Their latest single Where Do You Run To? marks a bold new era — gritty, propulsive, and made to move a crowd.

LACHIE HAYES

Lachie Hayes is a Southland-born musician based in the Catlins, crafting alternative, folk-infused blues inspired by friends, drinks, and old movies. In 2024 he signed with MASSEV Records and recorded his new album with revered music luminary Delaney Davidson at the helm.

Amber Carly Williams

Ōtautahi-based artist Amber Carly Williams is a rising force in Aotearoa’s alternative/indie-pop scene, known for her soulful, gritty vocals, vulnerable songwriting, and magnetic live performances. Her sound blends the emotional depth of Lizzy McAlpine with the atmospheric pull of Holly Humberstone, delivered with a grungy edge. Amber has opened for major acts, played festivals including Bay Dreams, Rolling Meadows, and Nostalgia, and gained national attention with her debut EP 21 Roses. With new music on the way and a headline show set for later this year, Amber is quickly carving out a space uniquely her own.
